I worked client-side for 16 years, mostly in the beauty industry for brands like NIVEA, Simple, and Elemental Herbology before deciding to fly solo in 2017. I’ve since been lucky enough to work with brands of all shapes and sizes across a whole load of sectors.  Below are just a smattering of the great brands I’ve wordsmithed with.

Cake Club

A new ecommerce brand, looking to disrupt the b2b market and appeal to independent coffee shops across the UK.​

My part to play

It was pretty sweet to partner with the incredible Heather Seed and create a whole new visual and verbal brand identity for this rebellious new cakes and bakes brand.

From developing the brand messaging guide, through to the tone of voice, website copy, social strategy and ongoing content, this project has been an absolute treat, and continues to be a content partner (not just because of the free Cinnamon Buns!).

The Lipsy Group

Home of leading fashion brand Lipsy, Love & Roses, Victoria’s Secret, Next Beauty and Gap. The group was looking to create a clear, distinctive internal tone of voice and messaging platform across all brands, to improve consistency and engagement in all company communications, inspiring their people!

My part to play

I immersed myself in the Lovely Lipsy world, went deep into the brand proposition and values, and created comprehensive tone of voice guidelines, copy dos and don’ts, and sample content that’s now being used throughout the whole business. As well as this, I’ve been their copy partner for awards applications and public business profiles.

Lisa is the best copywriter I've worked with - so much so that I've brought her along as I've moved companies! Lisa will completely understand your brand and vision, and has a unique ability to make copy resonate and carry emotion. 10/10.

Lipsy Group and The Body Shop

The Body Shop

This global, activist cosmetics brand was looking to inspire and engage their internal teams.

My part to play

I worked with the wonderful global comms team to craft the copy for their ‘What’s Your Activist Talent’ campaign that’s now on their website, as well as internal kindness policies, changemaker manuals and awards applications.

Nimbus

An intelligence platform to help property professionals land the best on and off-market opportunities.

My part to play

Who knew property software was so complicated?! I worked with the genius team of experts behind the brand on their positioning and persona frameworks. Then crafted their website copy, blogs, socials and video scripts, so they could reposition themselves in the market, simplify the jargon and tackle the competition head-on. 

Lingaro Alchemy

A creative agency blending strategy, creative, commerce and data to deliver impactful brand experiences.

My part to play

Lingaro is one of my long-term retained partners. I helped them develop their own brand website copy and press materials but also partner with them to create copy for their clients, including CRM campaigns, film scripts, strategy decks and email nurture sequences for Alcon, Specsavers, Mars and Bayer. 

I was recommended Lisa through a networking contact who spoke very highly of her, and I can see why. Lisa certainly has a way with words and helped me form clear and concise messages and copy for my small business. She is very approachable and friendly and takes care in getting the wording right for you as well as your audience. Her work was very prompt and communication was great. I would highly recommend working with Lisa and will be using her again in the future!

My part to play

I worked with this team of digital and techy pros to dial down the jargon, streamline their messaging and craft new tone of voice guidelines and copy for their entire website. Then rolled this out across their whole brand portfolio.

April & White

A magical, seasonal, luxury kids’ brand, providing beautiful letters and keepsakes from Father Christmas. Stacey Solomon, Petra and Tamara Ecclestone are big fans!

My part to play

I’ve partnered with the lovely Sonia from April and White for years, bringing the magic of Christmas to life with poems, enchanting stories and sweet letters from the big man himself.

Duo Accountants

Accountants with a difference.

My part to play

We all know the word ‘accountant’ can make people run a mile. Duo wanted to appeal to small businesses with a fresh new approach, bringing their personality to the forefront. So, I worked with them on a whole new brand tone of voice and messaging guide, then rolled it out across their website, designed by the fabulous Lord Design Studio.
